Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve: Identify, diagnose, and resolve hardware problems on servers, storage systems, and network devices using advanced technical skills and industry-standard tools.
- Repair and Replace: Perform repairs and replacements of faulty components such as server hardware, storage systems, and network devices.
- Ticket Management: Manage and close tickets in a timely manner, ensuring accurate and efficient documentation.
- Root Cause Analysis: Participate in root cause analysis of highly technical issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address underlying causes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other technicians, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues, communicating effectively and escalating issues as needed.
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and recommend improvements in processes, tools, and systems to optimize efficiency and quality of work.
- Maintenance: Conduct routine monitoring of equipment, document work performed, maintain inventory, and participate in training and development activities.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety procedures and protocols when working with electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal stakeholders, responding promptly to requests and resolving issues efficiently.
- On-call Rotation: Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and regular business hour on-call support.
Requirements
- Available to work a flexible schedule 24x7x365 to support business operations, including weekdays, weekends, and varying shifts.
- Must have 2+ years of experience in computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Strong technical background in computer hardware, networking, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a data center environment, focusing on server hardware, storage systems, and network devices.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Pay and Benefits
Pay within the range will depend on skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to HCL policies.
