About the role

The Network and VoIP Analyst will assist UC team in maintaining 24×7×365 high availability and mission critical voice and data network. They will resolve daily voice and data network issues in response to IT Operations Center alerts and escalations. This may involve working with Security Team, project managers and other staff in order to resolve a multitude of voice and data network adds, moves, changes, repairs, monitoring and performance issues.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain large enterprise communications and network systems
  • Provide network support and perform network diagnostics and performance management
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and VoIP issues
  • Develop and manage projects related to network and VoIP services

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience providing network support
  • At least 2 years of experience with LAN protocols, network hardware platforms, network-related protocols and software
  • Experience with various network diagnostic and performance management tools and software
  • Experience with Private Branch Exchange (PBX) telephone systems, including add, move, change and repair
  • Experience with Cisco VoIP technologies, including CUCM, UCCM, Cisco Unity Voice Mail, PCCE, Call Manager, IP Celerate, NEC PBX, and related features and functions
  • Knowledge of WAN and VoIP protocols, including MGCP, SCCP, SIP, H.323, T1, ISDN, Frame Relay and QoS
  • Experience with network switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, authentication servers, load balancers, wireless controllers, access points, and other network components
  • Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel

Qualifications

  • AAA Degree in related area such as networking and/or equivalent experience/training
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization
  • Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team

Skills

  • CCNA preferred
  • Advanced working experience with change control and enterprise notification to coordinate changes within a 24/7 environment
  • In-depth experience with network diagnostic and performance management tools and software
  • Diverse problem-solving skills
