About the role

We are looking for motivated people to join our Water Response team based out of the Inverness area, covering Inverness, Dingwall, Alness, Aviemore, Tain and Dornoch.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve customer issues by investigating problems and implementing solutions while keeping customers informed.
  • Carry out routine repairs and maintenance on Water network infrastructure, plant, and equipment.
  • Perform vehicle checks and ensure health and safety compliance (guided by Chapter 8 NSRWA), minimizing service disruption.
  • Prepare accurate reports using digital systems to measure performance and productivity.
  • Participate in a standby rota for out-of-hours work to ensure reliable service delivery for water supply issues.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a willingness to contribute to team goals.
  • Basic IT skills for using digital equipment and apps.
  • Report writing skills to communicate clearly and accurately.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (required for site travel in the Inverness area).

Qualifications

Nice-to-have (but not required):

  • Experience with HGVs or 180/360 excavators.
  • Experience using cable avoidance tools.
  • Understanding of health and safety principles for site work or basic ground skills.
  • CPCS or NSRWA qualification.

Pay

This role is Grade 4 with a starting salary of £31,640. Performance-driven pay progression allows movement through the range to a maximum of £36,460.
