Maintenance Support

Duties

• Perform a wide variety of general repairs throughout the Winter Park Campus facility: involving plumbing, electrical, painting, as well as carpentry.
• Perform preventative maintenance on buildings and all equipment according to established procedures, and ensure vehicles are in safe operating condition.
• Perform construction work as needed such as erect walls, remove walls, and restore to original condition.
• Aid with fire drills and alarm tests as required and follow proper employee safety procedures (i.e. wear PPE, know location and reference MSDS, fire extinguisher locations, etc.).
• Provide backup support to Facilities Director when Lead person is unable to be on call 24/7 after hours as needed.
• Work in a safe manner by observing all safety guidelines.
• Ensure receipt/accountability for all deliveries, FedEx, UPS, Office Max, etc.
• Aid with escorting visits for multiple state, county and other regulatory agencies.

  Position Details

  • Salary: Starts at $17.00 - 20.10/hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience)
  • Shift: Typical start time is between 7am-9am and shift ends between 3-5pm.

      Qualifications

      • E ducation: High school diploma or GED required
      • 1+ years previous experience working in facilities maintenance and/or construction work preferable in a health care setting

        Other Requirements

        • Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, Physical, and TB Test
        • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
        • Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida
