Network Evaluator
Responsibilities
- Assess operational and developmental networks and systems for vulnerabilities and susceptibility to network-based attacks.
- Identify weaknesses and recommend countermeasures.
- Support the implementation of security solutions across mission environments.
- Analyze network traffic, system configurations, and security posture.
- Produce evaluation reports and brief stakeholders on findings and recommendations.
Requirements
Level 1: A Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, ORAn Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience, ORAt least 18 semester hours of military coursework in networking, computer science, or cyber topics with 4 years of relevant experienceDegree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
Level 2: A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience, ORA Master’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, ORA Doctoral degree with 2 years of relevant experience, ORAn Associate’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, ORAt least 18 semester hours of military coursework with 7 years of relevant experienceDegree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
Level 3: A Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience, ORA Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience, ORA Doctoral degree with 4 years of relevant experience, ORAn Associate’s degree with 10 years of relevant experience, ORAt least 18 semester hours of military coursework with 10 years of relevant experienceDegree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
Level 4: A Bachelor’s degree with 11 years of relevant experience, ORA Master’s degree with 9 years of relevant experience, ORA Doctoral degree with 7 years of relevant experience, ORAn Associate’s degree with 13 years of relevant experience, ORAt least 18 semester hours of military coursework with 13 years of relevant experienceDegree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Skills
Experience working in a cybersecurity or network security domain
Familiarity with network security tools (e.g., SNORT, traceroute, diagnostic utilities)
Understanding of systems architecture and security principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Pay
Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
