About the role
Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Charlotte, NC / Irving, TX (Las Colinas) – Hybrid
Contract Length: 18 months
Pay Rate: $53/hr - $57/hr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support LAN, WAN, and Data Center networking solutions.
- Configure and manage routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static).
- Implement DDoS mitigation strategies and ACL configurations.
- Configure and support Cisco Nexus and/or Arista platforms.
- Execute network changes using enterprise change control processes (ServiceNow).
- Support network security configurations (ACLs, VRFs, segmentation).
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on enterprise initiatives and deployments.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support as needed.
Requirements
- 4+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
Technical Skills
- 3+ years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/Data Center solutions in enterprise environments.
- Experience with routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static) and DDoS mitigation / ACL configuration.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus and/or Arista switching platforms.
- Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE (Data Center preferred).
- Experience with automation/scripting (Python, YAML, Ansible, GitHub).
- Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, and change control processes.
