Network Engineer
About the role
Provide enterprise-level support, design, maintenance, and strategic management for the organization's network and collaboration infrastructure. Work with Infrastructure Architects to ensure maximum availability, security, and performance of the network environment. Establish network standards, lead deployment projects, manage core network services, and serve as a Tier 3 escalation point. Resolve complex technical issues efficiently, working closely with the IT Help Desk.
Install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise Cisco network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points. Administer, optimize, and troubleshoot Cisco Call Manager (CUCM) and associated VoIP/collaboration environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise-level network design, deployment, and support, with a primary focus on Cisco-based networks.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco Call Manager (CUCM).
- Strong proficiency with core network protocols and diagnostic utilities (DNS, DHCP, packet sniffers/analyzers, and Microsoft Server environments).
- Proven experience participating in or leading collaborative IT project teams.
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP Enterprise, or CCNP Collaboration) or equivalent professional industry credentials preferred.
