About the role
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) Defense Stockpile Management Systems (DSMS) support is searching for a Senior Network Engineer to join their team in Fort. Belvoir, VA.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain multi-vendor routing/switching platforms (Cisco), VPN concentrators, and F5 load balancers.
- Design and implement network topologies, managing complex routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS.
- Apply DoW STIG/SRG requirements to all network devices to maintain IAVA/IAVM compliance.
- Perform verification across HBSS modules and utilize enterprise automation tools to deploy secure baselines.
- Ensure 99.7% network uptime across critical and strategic enclaves, driving cybersecurity compliance through rigorous STIG/IAVA applications, and leading Network engineering initiatives during complex migrations, hardware refreshes, and network outages.
- Design, plan, and execute enterprise network migrations, topology updates, and hardware refreshes (Cisco, Palo Alto, etc).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network diagrams, rack elevations, and disaster recovery plans.
- Maintain and upgrade networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and networks.
- Monitor the network utilizing industry leading technologies.
- Provide innovative methods and technical solutions using the engineering design process.
- Coordinate LAN/WAN hardware/software improvements and/or enhancements.
Requirements
- 7 + years of related experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (Required for DoW 8570/8140 compliance).

- Disaster Recovery (DR), Network Engineering, Networking.

- CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Collaboration.
