About The Role
As a Staff Network Engineer within Google's Global Network Operations, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of Google's extensive network infrastructure. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design, and troubleshooting, in collaboration with network equipment providers
- Experience in planning and designing multi-site networks and multiple product environments
- Strong understanding of network scaling, optimization, and incident management
- Proficiency in data analysis and automation to enhance network operations
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a networking environment, serving in engineering or operations roles
- Hands-on experience with optical networking and routing protocol design and optimization
- Proven track record of leading network scaling and build projects
- Experience working in a heavily matrixed organization with multiple teams
