Network Engineer (On Site) (36231)

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Networking: Assists with the administration, maintenance, and installation of all network infrastructure and core systems impacting the business.
• Makes New Solution Recommendations: Recommends new hardware and software systems to the Network Manager.
• Maintain Network Topology Diagrams: Creates and maintains network topology diagrams.
• Monitors System Alerts: Monitors system alerts and performs remediation efforts as needed.
• On-call Support: Provides on-call support for networking system-related issues.

Qualifications

• Experience: At least three years of experience performing similar duties within the IT function.
• Certification: Current valid Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) Certification or the ability to obtain one within six months.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with PC and server hardware, Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 20xx, Windows 20xx Server), Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Data Center Experience: Experience with Data Center Technologies is preferred.
• Monitoring Tools: Experience using network monitoring tools.
• Diagram Design: Experience with Visio and diagram design tools.
• Cyber Security Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Cyber security related policies and procedures.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Environment Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and work after normal business hours and on weekends as required.
• Teamwork: Experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information sciences from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
