Network Engineer Intern
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated thorough understanding of engineering technology.
- Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
- Preference for students at sophomore level or higher.
Clearance Requirements
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance preferred at time of hire.
- Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable time after hire.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Selected applicants will undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information.
Responsibilities
- Apply classroom‑learned skills to programs supporting national defense.
- Work on projects that support fundamental defense services and high‑stakes national security missions.
- Collaborate with esteemed customers to develop solutions for defense missions.
- Network Engineer intern duties for COS, targeting 2nd or 3rd‑year STEM students.
- Utilize knowledge from basic IT courses covering routers, switches, servers, storage, firewalls, and systems/software engineering fundamentals.
Workplace Options
This is a full‑time internship position located on‑site at the GDMS team in the Lockheed Martin Facility, 9970 Federal Drive CS, Colorado 80921.
Target Salary
USD $29.00 per hour (typical range based on experience, location, and other factors).
