Network Engineer / Canton / On-site

About the role

This role focuses primarily on Cisco networking, network segmentation, and infrastructure modernization within a highly technical, hands-on environment. It offers room to grow technically, visibility across global teams, and a chance to work on meaningful modernization projects.

Responsibilities

• Tech Breakdown: 90% Cisco networking, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
• 10% Systems administration, on-call rotation (1 week every 4 weeks; 2–3 calls per week)
• Operate and maintain Cisco-based network environments
• Lead network segmentation and compliance projects (CMMC readiness)
• Manage firewalls, VLANs, and routing configurations
• Oversee Nutanix virtual infrastructure and system backups
• Provide Tier 3 support and troubleshoot critical issues
• Collaborate with IT and operations to improve reliability and performance

Requirements

• 5+ years of network infrastructure experience (Cisco routers, switches, and chassis)
• 3+ years of systems administration (Windows networking, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory)
• 3+ years of experience with Azure and Nutanix or similar virtualization platforms
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls, Aruba Wireless (Aruba Central), and data center server hardware
• Familiarity with network segmentation and compliance initiatives (DoD or CMMC preferred)
• Microsoft 365 administration experience
