Network Engineer, BMS/EPMS Networks
About the role
The Network Team at Fluidstack is responsible for designing and operating the networks that power the frontier of AI training. This includes building and managing networks for 10 to 100s of gigawatts of compute, ensuring that all systems are secure, scalable, and efficient.
Responsibilities
- Own the facility networks: design and implement segmented, secured OT networks that integrate with operations.
- Collaborate with controls engineers to ensure that network designs meet operational needs while maintaining security and integrity.
- Implement and manage firewalls, monitoring tools, and access controls to ensure high uptime and compliance.
- Standardize the facility network reference design to ensure consistency across all sites.
- Run the OT/IT boundary, integrating control systems with IT infrastructure without compromising security.
Requirements
- Broad experience in OT and industrial network design and implementation.
- Expertise in controls protocols, including BACnet/IP.
- Experience with OT segmentation and its practical implications.
- Strong partnership skills with controls engineers, able to work collaboratively rather than adversarially.
- Background in data center facility networks and IEC 62443 standards is a plus.
- Knowledge of firewall platforms and their integration into network architectures.
- Controls engineering background is highly valued.
