Responsibilities
- Aid in the installation and configuration of internal and customer-facing servers, network devices, and firewalls.
- Maintain and optimize the company's network infrastructure, including voice and network hardware, operating systems, telecommunications, and communications solutions.
- Manage and monitor data center and facility infrastructure assets for optimal performance.
- Create an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and process improvement.
- Support the design and use of IT systems to adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of live data and other sensitive information.
- Support Windows Server, including Group Policy configuration, Active Directory, EntraID, user and group administration.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in an IT networking and/or technical support role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training.
- A+ Certification preferred.
- Net+ Certification is preferred.
- Fortinet NSE4 certification is preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Experience with networking, distributed computing, virtualization, large-scale, high-performance storage systems, operating systems, databases, telephony, and cloud computing.
- Expertise with Fortinet, VOIP, Dell Server, and SAN storage.
- Fluency in speaking with other IT infrastructure experts (telecommunications, network operations, server operations, etc.).
- Ability to recognize and respond to priorities, accept changes, and new ideas.
- Insight into problems and the ability to develop workable alternatives.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Flexible and adaptable to a rapidly changing environment.
- Positive, self-motivated individual who can complete tasks independently.
- Technical support expertise in Windows Server, including Windows 10 and 11 Professional, Group Policy, and Active Directory configuration.
- Knowledge of server backups, virus protection, and patch management.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, extremely responsive, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
