Network Engineer
Basic Qualifications
- Design, build, test and troubleshoot network systems
- Current active clearance
- Foundational Understanding of routing and switching protocols
- Foundational understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
- Foundational understanding of firewall policies
- Foundational understanding of network administration
- Foundational understanding of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switching platforms
- Foundational understanding of network maintenance and troubleshooting tools including but not limited to Wireshark, Splunk, Infoblox NetMRI
- Familiar with DISA STIG checklist and hardening
- Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches
- Create Change management tickets and tracking
- Jira and Confluence experience

THE WORK
Lewis Martin is seeking a talented level 2 Network Engineer with a Secret clearance to work from our Boulder, CO location. Join a team where your network expertise will keep the sensors that watch the sky running flawlessly, give our warfighters the split‑second advantage they need, and help keep the world safe.
As Network Engineer You Will Design and plan network communications systems. Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conduct testing of network design. Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluate and report on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
This is an EMERGING PROFESSIONAL (level 2) ROLE where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.
