Network Engineer

About the role

ATS is a network and wireless integration firm based in central Massachusetts, serving high-profile clients like Major League Baseball teams. They are seeking a Networking and Server Engineer for a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, implementation, and support to customer networks in a dynamic environment.
• Work closely with customers, presenting technology solutions and providing strategic insights.
• Travel frequently within the New England area to support customer sites.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in multi-vendor environments supporting different elements of the network.
• A strong background in network architecture and design, with experience troubleshooting complex networks.
• A CCNP or equivalent certification, or be actively pursuing one.
• Experience with server, LANs, email systems, enterprise wireless deployments, WAN optimization, and the ability to leverage these solutions in design, implementation, and support.
• Pre-sales support to the sales team on select pre-sales engagements.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check and drug screen.

Skills

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, server systems (Windows, Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory), and Linux.
• Experience with desktop support of Microsoft and Apple systems, and backup technologies (Live Vault, Backup Exec).
• Experience with software deployment technologies (Ghost, repackaging tools).
• Understanding of switching and routers (Extreme, Juniper, Cisco), firewalls (Juniper JUNOS and ScreenOS, Cisco, Sonicwall), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting, VLANs, RIP, EIGRP, WAN-frame relay, Internet HDLC, ATM, MPLS, SNMP, HTTP, IPSEC, WIFI a/b/g).
• Experience with remote access technologies (VPN, dial-up, terminal services).
• Network management tools (What’s Up Gold, N-Able, SNMP).

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually.
