Network Development Consultant

Pay rate: $60.00 - $62.00/hr.

About the role

Responsible for defining network business requirements and implementing effective global network strategies. This role involves designing secure network solutions to maximize the sharing of applications, information, and resources across the company. The Advisor will coordinate with multiple vendors and departments to procure network-related hardware, software, and services.

Responsibilities

• Define network business requirements and implement effective global network strategies.
• Design secure network solutions that maximize the sharing of applications, information, and resources.
• Coordinate with vendors and departments to procure network-related hardware, software, and services.
• Investigate and resolve network problems, inefficiencies, and performance issues.
• Create and share roadmaps and technical support to determine network business needs.
• Evaluate, test, recommend, and implement specific network solutions.
• Research emerging network technologies and make recommendations based on future business needs.
• Schedule and coordinate installation and maintenance of standard software/hardware on the network.
• Provide ongoing information to leadership, customers, and peers regarding network health, enhancements, and innovations.
• Perform complex issue analysis and may lead smaller or less complex projects.
• Conduct periodic vulnerability and security risk assessments of network assets.
• Design total systems solutions for smaller organizations or segments of large organizations.
• Coordinate the installation of servers and storage equipment within the IT Data Center.
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture groups, actively seeking customer input.
• Contribute to the development of innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in network development and management.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and protocols.
• Experience with network security and risk assessment practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Skills

• Experience with global network infrastructure design and management.
• Familiarity with unified communications solutions and messaging platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to conduct detailed research studies.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Pay

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $60.00 - $62.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.
