About the role
As an Advanced Network Design Engineer, you will provide technical support for GDMS Cyber products, troubleshoot installation issues, and train customers on deployment, configuration, and installation. This role involves both remote and onsite support, technical documentation, and delivering training to diverse audiences.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical product support via telephone, email, and occasional field support
- Conduct hardware and software system testing and configuration
- Develop, review, and interpret technical documentation, including network diagrams
- Deliver onsite and offsite technical training on GDMS products
- Present and facilitate technical information clearly and concisely
- Develop and proofread training materials to engage and motivate students
- Work independently in a multi-tasking environment and as part of a team
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and customers
- Participate in rotating after-hours on-call telephone support
- Travel up to 25% after instructor qualification
- Support and assist in the design and planning of network systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related specialized area, or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a Master’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Subject matter expert (SME) in one discipline with developing knowledge in adjacent fields
- Ability to develop and provide innovative solutions to complex problems
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to large groups
- Experience in administrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting network systems, including firewalls, DNS, VPN, LAN, WLAN, Cisco/Juniper products, and Windows servers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Visio, Outlook) and Dynamics 365
- Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance (required at time of hire; U.S. citizenship required)

Pay
Target salary range: USD $122,552.00/Yr. - USD $129,000.00/Yr.
