Network Deploy Technician, Infra - GND

About the role

The Network Deploy Technician plays a crucial role in driving the stability and sustainability of AWS’s next-generation networks. They work closely with internal customers and external vendors to facilitate smooth project execution and assist in the development of innovative network automation and scaling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Scaling support of several data center locations
• Day-to-day assistance with capacity management
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
• Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and workflows
• Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords
• Specify Power and Cooling requirements and ensure Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
• Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
• Travel within and outside of regional work area as needed

Requirements

• 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
• 1+ years of computer networking experience
• High school or equivalent diploma

Qualifications

• Experience with common tools related to network troubleshooting, including VFLs, OTDR, and power meters

Skills

• Experience supporting large scale, enterprise class networks
• Network implementation and troubleshooting experience

Pay

Starting Day 1 of employment, Amazon offers the following starting pay ranges:

• AZ, AVONDALE - 27.00 - 48.00 USD hourly
• GA, ATLANTA - 27.00 - 48.00 USD hourly
• MS, Canton - 25.00 - 44.00 USD hourly
• NV, SPARKS - 27.00 - 48.00 USD hourly
• TX, DALLAS - 27.00 - 48.00 USD hourly
• TX, Wharton - 27.00 - 48.00 USD hourly
