About the role

Amazon is seeking a Network Deploy Technician to join its infrastructure operations team. This role involves driving the stability and sustainability of next-generation networks, assisting in the development of automated and scalable network solutions, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage work and priorities through ticketing systems and workflows to complete customer requests and projects
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to remove project obstacles
  • Troubleshoot networking, routing, and interconnectivity issues, including troubleshooting of network device configuration and low-level application interaction
  • Specify Power and Cooling requirements and ensure Hardware Racking/Stacking completed for new equipment
  • Participate in the migration, basic configuration, and rollout of new or upgraded hardware
  • Moving and lifting computer equipment up to 40 lbs

Requirements

  • 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience
  • 1+ years of computer networking experience

Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent diploma

Skills

Experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-class networks and network implementation and troubleshooting are preferred. Bachelor's degree is also preferred but not required.

Pay

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.

USA, VA, Chantilly - 27.00 - 48.00 USD hourly

Schedule

Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds. Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed. Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation.
