Network Automation Engineer
We are seeking an experienced automation engineer to manage system infrastructure and applications. As part of our team, you’ll use your technical skills to drive mission-forward change by developing and implementing automation solutions, maintaining and improving our CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and management of infrastructure and applications. You’ll also strengthen your DevSecOps skills while supporting the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automation solutions for system infrastructure and applications
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth deployment and management of infrastructure and applications
- Automate network appliances such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or BigIP
- Write Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform
- Manage infrastructure and applications in on-premise and cloud environments, including AWS and Azure
- Support sustainment and development of critical naval platforms
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with scripting languages to automate tasks, including Bash, Python, JavaScript, Jinja2, or PowerShell
- 2+ years of experience with automation tools including Ansible
- Experience automating network appliances such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or BigIP
- Experience with CI/CD toolsets including GitLab or Jenkins
- Experience writing Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform
- Experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing (CI/CD)
- Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience automating system configurations and orchestrating network operations and DevOps pipelines in cloud environments
- Experience with leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
- Knowledge of automation and process improvement through holistic programming solutions
- Ability to analyze business requirements for the design of automated process workflows

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, skills, competencies, experience, contract-specific affordability, and organizational requirements.

Work model expectations:
- Remote: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
- Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with potential visits to customer facilities as needed.
- Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility.
Employees working virtually are generally expected to have their cameras on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
