Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire engineering talent: Build a high-performing culture by managing, coaching, and mentoring a team of managers, architects, and principal engineers to ensure strong accountability, continuous development, and future succession.
  • Manage multi-million dollar technology investments: Own the multi-year OPEX and CAPEX financial portfolio—driving annual budgeting, forecasting, and contract negotiations to maximize return on technology investments while optimizing operating costs.
  • Set and execute enterprise network strategy: Define the multi-year architecture roadmap and engineering standards across hybrid/multi-cloud, SD-WAN, and network security to build secure, scalable, and resilient clinical and enterprise systems.
  • Drive program delivery and operational excellence: Oversee the end-to-end network project portfolio, ensuring major modernization and lifecycle programs are delivered on time and within budget while reducing technical debt and systemic risk.
  • Champion strategic vendor and partner relationships: Oversee key technology vendor relationships and commercial agreements, holding external partners accountable for service quality, delivery commitments, and optimal contract terms.

Requirements

High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated Executive Engineering Leadership: progressive leadership experience managing large-scale, enterprise Network Architecture & Engineering teams, including managing managers, architects, and senior engineering leads.
  • Full Lifecycle Enterprise Network Expertise: Proven track record of defining strategy, standards, and modernization roadmaps across complex hybrid/multi-cloud environments, SD-WAN, data center networks, and network security.
  • Strategic Financial & Portfolio Ownership: Demonstrated experience directly owning and managing large-scale annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets, including multi-year technology refresh plans, vendor contracts, and strategic sourcing.
