About the Role

The Network Architect will support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM at Camp H.M. Smith, HI. This role is part of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order, providing USSOCOM, its Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services. Responsibilities include maintaining Network Operations (NetOps), systems and network infrastructure, end-user and common device support, configuration, change, license, and asset management, training, and Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The position supports USSOCOM's network enterprise modernization initiatives, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, optimize, and secure mission-critical network solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Tier-4 network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD, requiring an extensive background in networking technology.
  • Reviews existing architectures regularly, recommending and assisting with the design and implementation of systems and network improvements.
  • Troubleshoots enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks, evaluating the impact of architectural changes.
  • Follows designated network standards for the design, installation, and maintenance of LAN, WAN infrastructures, voice and data network systems, and advanced engineering.
  • Plans, designs, engineers, configures, maintains, defends, troubleshoots, and repairs Virtual Local Area Networks (VLAN).
  • Triages malware, LAN, WAN, VoIP infrastructures, voice and data network systems.
  • Provides troubleshooting for enterprise WAN/MAN voice, data, and transmission networks, evaluating the effect of architectural changes.
  • Troubleshoots LAN voice and data networks and evaluates the impact of architectural changes.
  • Assesses business and application requirements for corporate data and voice networks.
  • Plans, designs, and upgrades network installation projects.
  • Establishes and maintains backup, version-control, and malware defense systems.
  • Troubleshoots network architectures and recommends system fixes and enhancements.
  • Makes recommendations for leveraging network installations and reducing operational costs.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: BS and 8 years of experience, or MS and 6 years of experience, or PhD and 3 years of experience, or HS and 12 years of experience, or AA and 10 years of experience.
  • Experience with network operating systems, such as Cisco, Novell, and Windows Server.
  • Experience with network hardware, including routers, switches, cabling, and other essential components.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN protocols, such as OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCIE, CCDP, CCNP Security, CCNP Data Center, CCNP Wireless, CCNP Collaboration.
  • ACMP, ACMX, ACCP.
  • Cloud networking experience with AWS and Azure.
  • Knowledge of wireless technology and mobility devices.
  • Compliance with DoD 8140 under Work Role Code 441 – Network Operations Specialist – Intermediate level or higher (must be completed by 01 Oct 2026).

Pay

Target salary range: $130,000–$180,000, depending on education level, years of experience, certifications, and other position-specific requirements.
