Network Administrator - Remote

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installs, configures, and maintains network hardware, software, and Azure components including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, Virtual WAN (VWAN), firmware updates, and cabling.
• Performs routine backups, system updates, patching, and upgrades to maintain network integrity and security.
• Maintains accurate records of network configurations, procedures, and activities for compliance and troubleshooting purposes.
• Makes routine checks of network performance, system alerts, and security logs to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
• Diagnoses and resolves network problems when alerted by users or automated monitoring systems.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPN, and network protocols.
• Experience with Azure networking (VWAN, VPN Gateway, NSGs).
• Familiarity with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Experience with cloud networking and hybrid environments preferred.
• Knowledge of scripting for automation (PowerShell, Python) preferred.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and SIEM platforms preferred.
