Network Administrator (On-site)

Network Administrator Location: Onsite Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 Start: ASAPWe are seeking a hands-on Network Administrator to support and maintain a multi-site network environment. This is a key technical role focused heavily on network administration, firewall management, troubleshooting, connectivity, and infrastructure support.The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys being hands-on with network infrastructure and can confidently troubleshoot issues from the firewall and network layer through switches, wireless, VPNs, and end-user connectivity. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure across multiple locations.Manage and support firewalls, VPNs, routers, switches, VLANs, and wireless networks.Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewall policies, security rules, VPN connections, and network traffic.Support firewall migrations and upgrades, including an environment transitioning from Sophos to Fortinet.Monitor network performance, availability, and security and quickly resolve connectivity issues.Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, wireless, and Internet connectivity.Assist with network design, implementation, upgrades, and ongoing infrastructure improvements.Maintain stable and reliable connectivity across multiple sites and remote locations.Support network security solutions, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection/security tools.Maintain network documentation, configurations, diagrams, and technical procedures.Support Microsoft 365 and other infrastructure technologies as needed.Assist with virtualization and infrastructure environments, including Nutanix.Support server patching and general infrastructure maintenance.Assist with VoIP/Teams Voice systems and related network requirements.Support network-connected devices such as access points, cameras, and other physical infrastructure.Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and restoration procedures.Provide day-to-day technical support for network-related hardware, computers, printers, and systems.Work directly with users, vendors, remote locations, and technical partners to resolve issues and maintain reliable operations. Required Qualifications Strong hands-on experience administering enterprise networks.Direct, hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting firewalls is required.Strong knowledge of:Routing and switchingVLANsVPNsFirewalls and firewall policiesTCP/IP and core networking conceptsWireless networkingNetwork troubleshooting and performance analysisExperience supporting multi-site network environments.Ability to diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues independently.Experience with network security and infrastructure monitoring.Strong understanding of network engineering and day-to-day network operations.Approximately 5+ years of network administration experience preferred, though strong hands-on candidates with less experience may be considered.Experience with server infrastructure and patching.Experience with Microsoft 365 and/or virtualization environments is a plus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
