We're seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to support and maintain a hybrid environment spanning on-premises systems and cloud platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and recoverability of enterprise infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Administer and support VMware environments, including virtual machines, clusters, and virtualization infrastructure
- Manage cloud resources and services within Microsoft Azure
- Support Windows Server environments, patching, upgrades, and system lifecycle management
- Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability
- Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, storage, virtualization, and cloud-related issues
- Automate operational tasks using PowerShell or infrastructure automation tools
- Collaborate with application, security, and network teams on enterprise initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information processing, or a closely related field
- Four years of full-time or equivalent qualifying experience designing, installing, administering, and maintaining complex multi-site server operating systems and systems infrastructure, including storage, virtualization, and cloud
- At least one year of experience performing lead duties
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience administering VMware environments, including vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter
- 2–3+ years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure services
- Enterprise Windows Server administration experience
- Experience provisioning and managing virtual machines across VMware and Azure
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity
- Experience supporting system patching, upgrades, lifecycle management, monitoring, capacity, and performance
- Experience supporting disaster recovery, backup, replication, or business continuity solutions
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across systems, virtualization, cloud, storage, networking, and enterprise applications
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound technical judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be open to contract-to-hire
- Must be comfortable beginning the assignment 100% onsite
- Must be aligned with the approved contract pay rate and expected conversion compensation before submission
Pay
The pay range for this position is $57.42 - $69.80/hr.
