Our client in Sugarland, TX or Atlanta, GA is seeking a Network Administrator to support, maintain, and improve enterprise network services across campus, branch, cloud, and hybrid environments.
About the role
This position will provide hands-on operational support for routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and internet connectivity. The Network Administrator will work closely with network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud operations, service desk, and business teams to maintain secure, reliable, and highly available network services.
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier I and Tier II support for enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, SD-WAN, DNS, and DHCP services
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance, availability, latency, and connectivity
- Configure and support Cisco switching, wireless, and/or Meraki infrastructure
- Perform network refreshes, hardware replacements, software upgrades, and lifecycle activities
- Maintain VLANs, routing configurations, wireless services, and IP address assignments
- Support VPN, firewall, network-access control, segmentation, and secure remote-access initiatives
- Partner with cybersecurity teams on vulnerability remediation, incident response, and infrastructure hardening
- Use monitoring, packet-capture, and traffic-analysis tools to investigate network problems
- Maintain network diagrams, configurations, standards, and operating procedures
- Support automation and modernization initiatives
- Participate in scheduled maintenance windows and an on-call rotation
Requirements
- Approximately 7 or more years of enterprise network administration or network operations experience
- Hands-on experience supporting Cisco enterprise networking environments
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, LAN, WAN, and wireless networking
- Demonstrated network troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
- Experience working within an enterprise ticketing or IT service-management environment
- Strong communication, documentation, and customer-service skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, ISE, Catalyst Center, or ThousandEyes
- SD-WAN and secure remote-access technologies
- Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud networking
- Wireshark, NetFlow, or enterprise monitoring platforms
- Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
- Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, REST APIs, or Git
- CCNA, CCNP, or another Cisco certification
