About the role

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the reliability, security, and compliance of our energy management and control systems in alignment with NERC CIP standards. The Network Administrator will manage, secure, and perform networks that support critical energy operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage NERC CIP network systems within a control center environment and beyond.
  • Maintain the reliability, security, and compliance of energy management and control systems in alignment with NERC CIP standards.
  • Manage, secure, and perform networks that support critical energy operations.
  • Ensure adherence to NERC CIP standards and other relevant cybersecurity protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain network security measures.
  • Perform regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other IT staff members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on critical infrastructure protection.
  • Proven experience in managing and securing networks in a control center environment.
  • Experience with NERC CIP standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Proficiency in network security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and industry trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
