Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for network-related issues within the C-NOC.
- Monitor network performance, integrity, and security using tools such as SolarWinds.
- Perform initial triage and troubleshooting for network outages and performance issues.
- Document all incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved and complex issues to Senior Network Engineers in a timely manner.
- Assist with basic network administration tasks, including managing device configurations and user access under supervision.
- Support the execution of planned network maintenance, software upgrades, and preventive maintenance checks.
- Help maintain accurate network diagrams and documentation.
- Interface with users and stakeholders to report on status and resolve issues.
- Follow established procedures for network operations and incident management.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in network administration, network support, or a technical help desk role.
- CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent certification is required.
- Foundational knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF protocols, layer 2 switching, multicast routing, DMVPN tunnels, and IPsec.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and an understanding how to update and connect new devices in those tools via SNMP.
- Familiarity with how to monitor, interface, or configure High Assurance IP Encryptor (HAIPE) devices.
- Strong ability to communicate technical issues clearly, provide step-by-step instructions, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Customer-focused with the ability to de-escalate situations and work collaboratively within a team.
- U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI US Government clearance.

$90,000 - $98,000
Schedule
This position supports a 24/7 Network Operations Center. Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, will be required. Work may include on-call responsibilities to support mission priorities.
