Network Admin Engineer II or III (ITS Operations)

About the role

The Network Administration Engineer II and III position manages the District’s on-premise and cloud network infrastructure for such devices as firewalls, routers, switches, and security appliances. This position is accountable for implementation of new networks, maintenance of existing networks including any necessary enhancements, and their decommissioning. This role will assist with the identification, prioritization, and resolution of critical infrastructure and security related issues that impact business operations. This position safeguards the recoverability, performance, compliance, and security of District infrastructure and is key to ensuring that the information systems necessary to fulfill the District's mission are highly available.

Responsibilities

• Manage the District’s on-premise and cloud network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches, security appliances)
• Implement new networks
• Maintain existing networks, including necessary enhancements
• Decommission networks when appropriate
• Assist with identification, prioritization, and resolution of critical infrastructure and security issues impacting business operations
• Safeguard recoverability, performance, compliance, and security of District infrastructure
• Ensure high availability of information systems needed to fulfill the District's mission

Requirements

Network Administration Engineer II ($117,508 – $146,885 annually)

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, AND
• Two (2) years of related Information Technology experience; OR
• Six (6) years of related Information Technology experience

Network Administration Engineer III ($147,402 – $184,253 annually)

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, AND
• Four (4) years of related Information Technology experience; OR
• Eight (8) years of related Information Technology experience

Pay

Salary/Wage: $117,508.00 – $184,253.00 annually (specific ranges: Engineer II $117,508 – $146,885; Engineer III $147,402 – $184,253). Placement based on education and experience.
