About the Role
UST is searching for a Network Admin Lead II who will configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers to administer and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and data center network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure maximum uptime.
- Implement network security policies, access controls, segmentation, and firewall rules.
- Manage network upgrades, firmware updates, patching, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
- Support routing and switching protocols including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and QoS.
- Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, and internal IT teams for incident resolution and project execution.
- Maintain network monitoring, logging, backup, and disaster recovery processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in network administration and enterprise infrastructure support.
- Strong experience in enterprise network administration and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, or equivalent networking technologies.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network security.
- Experience with firewall management, IDS/IPS, and secure remote access solutions.
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark.
- Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and enterprise Wi-Fi deployments.
- Experience with cloud networking concepts in Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, Palo Alto PCCSA/PCNSA, or equivalent are preferred.
Desired Skills
- Experience with SD-WAN, network automation, and scripting tools such as Python or Ansible.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and cybersecurity best practices.
- Exposure to data center operations and structured cabling standards.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise change management procedures.

Pay
Role Location: Oregon
Compensation Range: $75,000-$113,000
