WHAT WE NEED

  • We are seeking a skilled and safety-driven NETA-Certified Field Testing Technician to join our growing team.
  • In this role, you will perform testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical power systems across industrial, commercial, utility, and institutional environments.
  • You’ll work with regional teams who combine deep local knowledge with enterprise-wide resources to support critical projects involving grid reliability, system upgrades, predictive maintenance, and emergency response.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Perform acceptance testing, maintenance testing, and system commissioning in accordance with NETA standards.
  • Test and diagnose low-, medium-, and high-voltage electrical equipment, including breakers, transformers, relays, switchgear, and protective systems.
  • Conduct electrical studies, analyze test data, and prepare accurate technical reports.
  • Support system upgrades, retrofits, and power system troubleshooting in both planned and emergency scenarios.
  • Ensure all work meets safety, regulatory, and quality-assurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to deliver reliable, client-focused solutions.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Current or previous NETA/NICET Level II, III, or IV certification (or equivalent experience with intent to certify).
  • Hands-on experience with power system testing, commissioning, or maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of NETA standards, electrical theory, and power distribution equipment.
  • Able to analyze test data and produce detailed technical documentation.
  • A commitment to safety, accuracy, and high-quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites within your region and throughout North America.
