About the role

We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join our technology team and contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development experience with C#, .NET Core, SQL, and modern DevOps practices. This role will work closely with business analysts, technical stakeholders, and distributed/offshore development teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET Core.
  • Develop robust, scalable, and high-performance backend services and application components.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Analyze existing applications and recommend enhancements, optimizations, and modernization opportunities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including technical design documents, system specifications, and architecture diagrams.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database-related solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, development best practices, and software quality guidelines.
  • Write clean, maintainable, scalable, and testable code.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Support application deployments and production releases as required.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab and Azure DevOps.
  • Work closely with offshore and distributed development teams to coordinate development activities and resolve technical dependencies.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and collaborate with team members to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Attend meetings and provide support during offshore/global team working hours when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong professional experience in .NET application development.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and .NET Core.
  • Solid experience in backend development and enterprise application architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, including complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience developing scalable and distributed applications.
  • Experience with GitLab and/or Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, source control, automated deployments, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and understand technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with onshore and offshore/distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ASP.NET Core / Web API.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and Git-based development workflows.
  • Experience with automated testing and test-driven development practices.
  • Knowledge of application security, performance optimization, and scalability.
  • Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
  • Previous experience coordinating with offshore development teams.
