About the role
The System Developer will be responsible for converting an existing Power Builder application to a .NET solution.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software applications using .NET framework
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, project managers, and end-users
- Ensure the new application meets functional and performance requirements
- Perform unit testing and debugging of developed software
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, preferably with .NET technologies
- Proficiency in C#, VB.NET, and SQL
- Experience with PowerBuilder and its integration with .NET
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus
- Experience with web development frameworks such as ASP.NET MVC
- Understanding of database design and optimization
Skills
- Strong coding skills in C# and VB.NET
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Good understanding of software architecture principles
