.Net Developer

Location: 2 Broadway, New York, NY – hybrid role with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled .NET Developer with strong experience working with Oracle and MS SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting applications and services built primarily on the Microsoft technology stack. This role involves both independent task execution and collaborative work within a team-oriented, agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain web applications, APIs, web services, Windows services, and desktop applications.
• Configure and manage IIS, including application pools, site bindings, and SSL certificate management.
• Use Git Bash for repository management, branch handling, and pull updates during development.
• Build, troubleshoot, and debug applications across development, QA, and production environments.
• Perform unit and regression testing to ensure application stability and quality.
• Configure connection strings, environment variables, and deployment settings.
• Collaborate with database teams to write optimized queries and stored procedures in MS SQL Server and Oracle.
• Support front-end development using JavaScript, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives using Jira.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to peer code reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain version control best practices, branching strategies, and deployment readiness.

Requirements

• 8+ years of overall software development experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience with .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NET).
• 6+ years of experience with JavaScript (including advanced concepts).
• 6+ years of experience with SQL Server, including writing complex queries and stored procedures.
• 6+ years of experience with PL/SQL and Oracle databases.
• 6+ years of experience with Web Development (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap).
• 6+ years of experience with IIS (Internet Information Services).
• Experience with Git-based version control (e.g., Git Bash, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
• Experience with unit testing and regression testing frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with .NET Core or .NET 5+.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker).
• Experience working in hybrid/remote environments.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and other agile collaboration tools.
