NET Developer

Responsibilities

• Build a network of qualified talent for future full-time or temporary .NET Developer positions.
• Support the corporate office of United Parks & Resorts in Orlando, FL.
• Provide programming functions for multiple projects supporting theme parks.
• Develop applications using Microsoft .NET / Dotnet Core and ASP.NET.
• Follow enterprise application development best practices, standards, and guidelines.
• Utilize Microsoft development tools and an Object Oriented (OO) / Service Oriented (SO) development approach.
• Provide technical advice and assistance in troubleshooting and resolving significant issues.
• Take the lead role in resolving complex issues when necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field OR at least 10 years of IT experience.
• At least 5 years of progressive software development experience, with a majority of recent experience with Microsoft technologies.
• Experience on large, multi-year development projects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with programmers, non-technical project managers, business analysts, and customers.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective organizational skills, able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter who works well in a team environment with minimal direction.
• Available to work onsite in Orlando, FL.

Required Technical Skills

• 5+ years of development experience in Microsoft .NET / Dotnet Core (C#).
• Proficiency in creating enterprise applications both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Senior-level C#, ASP.NET, CSS, HTML, SQL expertise.
• Full lifecycle application development in an Agile environment.
• Knowledge of formal Object-Oriented (OO) methodology.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and experience using SQL.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with a formal methodology.
• Experience with an iterative, Agile process.
• Experience with automated unit testing and automated software build processes.
• Experience with unit testing and Team Foundation Services.
