About the role

Neonatology is a specialized field within pediatrics that focuses on the care of newborn infants. As a Newborn Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to newborns in the hospital setting, including but not limited to:

• Assessing and managing newborn health conditions
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Providing education and support to families

Responsibilities

As a Newborn Hospitalist, your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing and managing newborn health conditions
• Collaborating with neonatologists and other healthcare providers
• Providing comprehensive care to newborn patients
• Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Supporting families through the newborn care process

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• A medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Pediatrics or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
• Experience working in a pediatric or neonatal intensive care unit
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

Qualifications for this role include:

• Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
• Passing scores on the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) exams
• Completion of a residency program in Pediatrics or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
