About the role
Neonatology is a specialized field within pediatrics that focuses on the care of newborn infants. As a Newborn Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to newborns in the hospital setting, including but not limited to:
- Assessing and managing newborn health conditions
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Providing education and support to families
Responsibilities
As a Newborn Hospitalist, your responsibilities will include:
- Assessing and managing newborn health conditions
- Collaborating with neonatologists and other healthcare providers
- Providing comprehensive care to newborn patients
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Supporting families through the newborn care process
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Pediatrics or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Experience working in a pediatric or neonatal intensive care unit
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
Qualifications for this role include:
- Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of Ohio
- Passing scores on the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) exams
- Completion of a residency program in Pediatrics or Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
