About the role

We are seeking a tenth neonatologist to join our progressive, growing neonatal practice at Mercy Children's Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

  • Team approach toward care in this 100-bed, Level-IV NICU
  • Average daily census of 90, with 1,500 admissions and more than 10,000 deliveries annually
  • Neonatologists and NNPs provide 24-hour, in-house care
  • Challenging clinical environment including conventional and high-frequency (both HFJV and HFOV) ventilation, nitric oxide and whole body cooling
  • Close collaboration with a full complement of pediatric sub-specialists, including pediatric surgery, in a suburban Children's Hospital environment
  • Long time members of the Vermont-Oxford network with continuous involvement in QI initiatives
  • Provide neonatal services at two nearby Level-II NICUs with NNPs in-house 24 hours and neonatologists taking call from home
