Neonatologist
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a neonatologist to join our 3-physician practice at Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. The role covers a 22-bed Level 3 NICU with an average daily census of 14, plus the newborn nursery. The facility handles approximately 2,700 annual deliveries and 340 annual NICU admissions.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-house coverage with a schedule of 2 weeks on, 1 week off
- Manage care alongside NNP night coverage
- Operate jet ventilators, high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), inhaled nitric oxide (INO), and whole-body cooling
- Participate in educational opportunities with Family Practice and OB/GYN residents, as well as medical students
