About the Role

Mission Hospital—western North Carolina’s leading regional health system—is seeking a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our experienced Level III/IV NICU team in beautiful Asheville. Both experienced and newly graduated NNPs are encouraged to apply.

Qualified candidates will have a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with an NNP specialty, current RN and APRN licensure in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain), national NNP certification (NCC), and PALS or NRP certification. Minimum 1–2 years of NICU experience is preferred; new NNP graduates with strong NICU backgrounds will be considered. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical settings is required.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive history and physical assessments (H&P)
  • Management and treatment of at-risk newborns
  • Delivery room attendance and infant stabilization
