Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
About the role
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will join Elliot Health System’s established level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Manchester, New Hampshire. The NICU is part of a comprehensive healthcare system that includes Elliot Hospital, a 296-bed acute care facility, and the Elliot Physician Network.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-risk newborn care, including delivery room management, PIV, umbilical lines, lumbar punctures, and endotracheal intubations
- Create, implement, and coordinate a plan of care for each high-risk newborn
- Collaborate with the Neonatology team to provide family-centered care, including developmental screening, nutritional counseling, LS, PT/OT/SLP
- Participate in regional neonatal transport program, high frequency ventilation, high frequency jet ventilation, Nitric Oxide Therapy, whole body cooling, and NICU follow-up program
- Support subspecialty programs such as pediatric surgery, pediatric anesthesia, pulmonary, neurology, gastroenterology, ophthalmology, nephrology, developmental-behavioral pediatrics, and an active high-risk Maternal-Fetal Medicine service
- Engage in continuous professional development through participation in Vermont Oxford Network and Team STEPPS
Requirements
- Board certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Eligible for a New Hampshire Nurse Practitioner license
- Eligible for Federal DEA Certificate
