About the role
The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) will provide advanced practice nursing care to neonates and their families. This includes performing comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments of neonates and families
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers
- Provide education and support to neonatal families
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) with a concentration in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care or Family Nurse Practitioner
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Ohio
- Current certification as a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Experience in neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) setting preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Passion for pediatric care
- Advanced knowledge of neonatal physiology and pathophysiology
- Proficiency in clinical decision-making
- Effective leadership and teaching abilities
