About the role
The University of Michigan Health-West is seeking a part-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join their team. This role offers opportunities for program collaboration, mentorship, and research with the University of Michigan Health Systems.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with a partnering team of specialists encompassing 37+ specialty care and hospital-based service lines.
- Demonstrate expertise in neonatal assessment, interpretation of physical and psychological status of infants and families, therapeutic interventions, and the implementation of the plan of care including discharge planning.
- Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings obtained by history, physical screening, behavioral assessments, and in collaboration with the designated physician, implement an appropriate management plan.
Requirements

- State of Michigan Advanced Practice Licensure required.
- Master’s degree with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner training and certification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an RN, with at least two years in a Level III NICU.
- Certification (ANA/AWHONN) as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner within 12 months of program completion if graduate NNP.
Qualifications
- Experience working with culturally diverse patients.
- Fluency in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Nepali, or Bosnian.
