Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - College Station
About the role
Texas Children’s Hospital is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This position involves practicing in an advanced role to provide health maintenance for well newborns and infants, episodic care for ill infants, and comprehensive care for newborns and infants with chronic conditions. The NNP practices through delegation of a medical staff attending and collaborates with other members of the health care team.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes advanced practice knowledge and skill to systematically collect and evaluate health assessment data and to manage a caseload of patients
- Demonstrates effective communication skills and works to eliminate communication barriers
- Serves as an educational resource for the patient and family, community, and other health care professionals
- Applies new knowledge relevant to pediatric nursing to clinical practice
- Demonstrates current professional, managerial, and/or technical knowledge and skills
- Demonstrates nurse practitioner’s role behaviors consistent with the development of advanced nursing practice
- Participates in departmental quality improvement program annually
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing
- Current valid license as registered nurse in the state of Texas
- Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP-BC) from the National Certification Corporation (NCC)
- Two (2) years of Neonatal Nurse Practitioner experience
- AHA/AAP hospital-based provider for Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- Delivery room resuscitation and stabilization experience required

Pay
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position offers part-time, 16-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM.
