Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Needed

Requirements:

Must be U.S. Citizen or provide a Certificate of Naturalization.

• Education: Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Certification: Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by ANCC, AANP, or equivalent.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in neonatal services.
• Initiative and interpersonal skills: Ability to relate constructively to a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds.

Core Duties:

• Provide medical services within the scope of Neonatal services.
• Attend all deliveries in Labor and Delivery.
• Perform physical examinations and interpret findings.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and manage patient care plans.
• Admit newborns for phototherapy and provide outpatient care.
• Coordinate services and refer patients as necessary.
• Use standard treatment algorithms and maintain clinical privileges.
• Work in clinic with 24-hour coverage shifts.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality assurance functions.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive treatment plans.
• Prepare and validate patient records and reports.
