About the role
Pediatrix Neonatology of Houston, an affiliate of Pediatrix Medical Group, is seeking an outstanding Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our practice at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe.
Responsibilities
Our NICU is a 22-bed, Level II NICU with 100-150 deliveries per month, and offers 24/7 NNP coverage with on-call neonatologist at night. NNPs see both NICU and well-newborn patients. We have a positive and collaborative environment, with a very supportive relationship between physicians and APRNs, and offer flexible 24- or 72-hour shifts to support an excellent work-life balance.
- Our physicians and APRNs use a multidisciplinary team approach in managing clinical care.
- Opportunities for leadership, policy development, mentoring, education, and quality improvement.
- Strong, APRN-led Leadership Team.
- Ability to pick up shifts in Level III-IV NICUs in our practice, if desired.
About the Hospital
HCA Houston Conroe is part of HCA Houston Healthcare, a family of hospitals serving over one million patients yearly at 13 hospitals within the Greater Houston area. The hospital has grown to become a full-service, 332-bed acute-care hospital and a tertiary referral center, equipped with a Level II Trauma Center, an accredited Chest Pain Center, Level II NICU, and certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.

Conroe has a small town feel with big town appeal, easily accessible via Interstate 45, which directly connects residents to the city of Houston and Dallas. Qualifications
- Current APRN national specialty certification.
- Minimum of a master’s degree.
