Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
Join a dynamic Women's Health Division to cover multiple campuses in Omaha, Nebraska. This opportunity is suited for a provider who is excited to provide comprehensive care to high-risk infants and their family members. Experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical care in a Neonatal ICU inpatient setting
- Conduct medical histories, perform complete physical examinations, initiate appropriate lab, radiology tests, and other special tests required for evaluation
- Perform routine and specialized procedures as credentialed
- Prescribe and monitor medications
- Participate in medical team rounds and collaborate with physicians, nursing, and other medical personnel
- Educate patient families and answer questions regarding their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects, and hazards
- Refer patients to specialists as appropriate
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in Neonatal Nurse Practitioner from an accredited program
- Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) required
- Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted license in Nebraska
- BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required

Pay
$78.30 - $91.35 /hour
Schedule
Full Time (.9 FTE)
Shifts are 12 and 24 hours
Level II & III Neonatal Intensive Care Units
Experienced and Collegial Group of Neonatologists, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses and Support Staff
It's anticipated that your first year of practice will be on campus of Creighton University Bergan Mercy Medical Center (level III NICU).
Once fully oriented, you may also provide care at CHI Lakeside Hospital (level III NICU) and CHI Immanuel Hospital (level II NICU)
