Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
About the role
The NP - Nurse Practitioner will perform tasks and procedures delegated by the collaborating Physician within their scope of practice. This individual will conduct comprehensive medical status reports, complete physical examinations, make diagnoses, institute therapy, including drug therapy, and perform emergency measures and emergency treatment. They will also arrange hospital admissions and discharges at the direction of the collaborating Physician and participate in hospital rounds when needed. The NP will provide instructions and guidance regarding medical care matters to patients.

Requirements
- Master degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years’ related experience
- CVICU Nurse Practitioners require 2 years of ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) experience
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- Active Nurse Practitioner license
- BLS required
- Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) certification through National Certification Corporation (NCC) required for those in the NICU
- Nurse Practitioner certification through American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) required in all other areas
