NEON Digital Distribution Intern, Spring 2027
About the role
We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for Spring 2027 Digital Distribution Interns. NEON internships are designed to provide meaningful, hands‑on experience and exposure to the day‑to‑day operations that bring acclaimed independent films to audiences worldwide. For students interested in careers in entertainment, media, distribution, or business, an internship with NEON offers a unique opportunity to gain practical industry knowledge, build professional relationships, and learn from a team passionate about independent film. As a Digital Distribution Intern, you will work closely with NEON's Home Entertainment and Digital Distribution teams, supporting the release and management of films across digital platforms. This internship is based in person at NEON's Los Angeles office and will provide exposure to all aspects of the home entertainment lifecycle for both NEON titles and select third‑party releases.
What Makes the NEON Internship Program Unique? Gain Industry Exposure – Develop an understanding of how films are distributed and managed across transactional, subscription, and ad‑supported streaming platforms, while gaining insight into the broader release strategy for independent films. Contribute to Real Projects – Support active film releases through metadata management, asset coordination, competitive research, platform monitoring, and operational workflows that directly impact distribution efforts. Learn From Industry Professionals – Work alongside experienced distribution, operations, and home entertainment teams who are invested in helping interns build industry knowledge and professional skills.
What You'll Gain From The Internship – Hands‑on experience with digital film distribution and home entertainment operations; exposure to streaming platforms, release strategies, and industry best practices; professional development through project‑based learning and cross‑functional collaboration; valuable industry connections and mentorship opportunities; real‑world experience that will help prepare you for future opportunities in entertainment, media, and distribution.
