Neighborhoods Connections VISTA-UWGLV
Member Duties
The Neighborhood Connections VISTA will build organizational capacity by strengthening volunteer engagement, community partnerships, and resource development to support Promise Neighborhoods initiatives. The VISTA will assess and enhance volunteer recruitment, onboarding, retention, and recognition systems while maintaining accurate records and capturing impact stories. They will identify and cultivate partnerships with schools, civic groups, businesses, and nonprofits to expand neighborhood-based supports and formalize collaborations as appropriate. The VISTA will also research sponsorship and mini-grant opportunities, develop proposal templates, and track awarded funds. In addition, the VISTA will create tools, guides, and documented processes to strengthen internal systems and ensure sustainable volunteer and partnership management beyond the service term.
